SCR Version 2.0.1

We've updated the game with the following new features:

  • A dynamic threshold for delay-based despawning dependant on route length
  • Voyager specific guard buzzers have been added

And the following upgrades:

  • The Class 220 and Class 221 have received upgrades
  • Capacity improvements at Benton
    • Platform 2 can now be used as an overflow for platforms 1 and 3
    • Stepford Express and Stepford Connect can now use platforms 4, 5, 6, and 7 in the Llyn direction
    • Stepford Express and Stepford Connect can now use platforms 8, 10, 11, 12, and 13 in the Stepford Direction
    • Stepford Connect trains from Port Benton can now also use platform 12 in the Stepford direction
    • Stepford Express services can now spawn at Benton depot
    • Platform 9 remodelled and platform 8 extended
    • Station approach from Coxly has been modified
  • Capacity improvements at Leighton City
    • Platforms 3 and 4 now used as overflow if platforms 1 and 2, or 5 and 6 are occupied
  • Capacity improvements at Stepford Central
    • Introduction of platform 0
    • New junctions in to allow trains to move into platforms 2 and 3 as trains depart platforms 1 and 0
  • Capacity improvements at Faraday Road:
    • Platform 3 can now be used as an overflow from platform 2
  • Signal desk maps have been updated to reflect the above changes
  • PIS display performance improvements - only loading and updating the boards closest to your camera
  • Various scenery improvements
  • Various performance improvements to facilitate server player size increase to 75 players

And the following bug fixes:

  • Fix to show only future stops on "calling at" lists
  • Other players should no longer appear to float if they were seated before the train was rendered
  • Ghost trains appearing on signal desks have been fixed
  • Various minor scenery and programming fixes

SCR Version 2.0.0

We've updated the game with the following new features:

  • Introduction of a new train movement system with trains now accelerating and decelerating in a more realistic manner
  • User interface changes
    • A new driving UI has been implemented
    • A new dispatching UI has been implemented
    • Minor changes to the guarding UI have been implemented

  • New routes on Waterline:

  • Next stop displays have been added to the exterior screens of select trains
  • Cosmetic train management system (TMS) screens have been added to the cabs of select trains

  • All buffered termini now have a 15 MPH speed limit on approach and a 30 MPH limit on departure

    • Additional repeaters have been added to hard to sight signals in the Stepford area
    • Additional OFF indicators have been added at SHS and MGT
  • Electrification added:
    • OLE added to Stepford Victoria
    • OLE added to Connolly
    • Various miscellaneous electrified sections added around the map
  • Cancellation announcements at termini have been tweaked to announce where the train has come from rather than to
  • Various speed limits and speed warning boards have been updated/moved to fit the new movement system
  • Headcodes will now count sequentially from a random integer
  • In-game guides have been updated
  • Old branding and billboards around the map have been updated
  • Various minor upgrades across the map

And the following bug fixes:

  • An error meaning players were unable to terminate at Edgemead has been fixed
  • Issues with spawning the Class 720 at Coxly have been fixed
  • Trains driven by other players will now appear smoother
  • The Class 458/5 has had a 'ShortDoor' set up to fix issues with Guards not being teleported to a door on the platform at stations with short platforms
  • The driver/guard root on all variants of the Class 158 have been moved back to prevent players' legs sticking through the front of the train
  • Missing seat bricks in the Class 717 have been added
  • Issues with concourse boards not loading for trains which spawned after you joined a server have been fixed
  • Random errors experienced when using the 'trainlist' command by players have been fixed
  • 'Click to zoom' tooltip remaining visible when returning to the menu has been fixed
  • Old rank emojis used on the signalling UI have been updated
  • Signals associated platforms not showing correctly on Supervisor signalling desks has been fixed
  • 'Farleigh' announcement audio has been added to Connect and Express
  • The platforms at Whitefield have been lowered to fix cosmetic issues with Mk3 doors clipping through them
  • The platforms at Woodhead Lane have been lowered
  • Cancellation announcements will no longer play for trains despawned whilst having a 3 headcode
  • Platform markers in various places around the map have been repositioned (where stopping positions allow) to prevent doors from opening whilst off the platform
  • A Buffer sensor has been added at LBTS platform 0
  • Platform screens displaying AirLink trains as Stepford Connect trains has been fixed
  • Various minor scenery, cosmetic and programming bug fixes

Hub Site Version 2.0

We've updated the Hub Site with the following new features:

  • Station details pages now show platforms and dispatching groups.
  • A train type list now shows key details for each train type in game.
  • Dispatchers now appear on server details pages, and on station details pages when you are watching a server.
  • A full screen live departure board is available for any station when you are watching a server.
  • The Hub Site is now available to all players! 🎉

And the following upgrades:

  • A significant rewrite of the site means that initial loading time has been significantly reduced.
  • Various UI components have been reduced in size to ensure they work better on smaller or low resolution screens.
  • The engine used to render graphs and charts has been replaced. Graphs and charts now render better on smaller or low resolution screens.
  • The appearance of the details pages for live drivers, dispatchers, and guards, have been improved.
  • Some pages are rendered server-side before display, to help improve performance.
  • An upgrade to .NET 8.0 includes numerous significant performance increases.
  • Various minor upgrades across the site.

And the following bug fixes:

  • The Hub Site no longer requires SIMD support to run. This should allow access on devices with processors that do not support SIMD.
  • Additional data is sent by the game to provide more accurate estimated departure times for live departure boards on the site.
  • Optimizations have been made to reduce network load for pages that refresh themselves.
  • Various minor bug fixes across the site.
